Questions
Ask the mill before you load the bag
The desk fields the same dozen notes. If your question is “can you just make it match a video,” the answer is still: gauge first.
Before you claim a jaw hour
Why would a stamp disagree with the ball?
Factories paint a target, not a promise. Tolerance stacks with wear, with a prior shop’s mystery bend, and with sleeves that were clicked and forgotten. The gauge reads the face. The ball agrees with the gauge more often than with the paint.
Do I need a Whole-Bag Mill Pass on the first visit?
No. Most first visits are a Stamp Audit or a Single Jaw Bend on the head that has been embarrassing you. Irons as a ledger are for people who already know the set is the argument.
Can Saturday hold an Iron Ledger?
No. Saturday is 10:00 to 1:00. That window holds a Stamp Audit or a Single Jaw Bend, plus a $38 short-hour surcharge. Whole-bag and iron ledgers live on weekdays.
Do you see left-handed golfers?
Yes. The rack’s left-side shortlist is thinner. Freight may be involved for rare shapes. We say that in email before you leave Reading, not after you park.
What if the hosel already looks wrinkled?
We will measure and we may refuse the bend. A cracked or creased neck is a safety call, not an upsell. The Stamp Audit still stands; metal does not have to move for the visit to be real.
Is this a lesson?
No. Read lesson or bench. We will mention posture only when it changes how the head sits in the jaws. We will not rebuild your takeaway.
Once a slot exists
What do I bring?
The gamer, the ball you play, course shoes, and a sentence about the miss. A range rock and dress shoes will waste a seating.
Do you keep the mill ticket on file?
Yes, in a paper ledger and a scan. If you come back inside 21 days for a re-check on a head we bent, bring the paper if you still have it. We can pull the scan if you do not.
Can I watch the vise?
Please. It is your hosel. We would rather you see the seating than hear a myth about it later on Hamilton.
How far is Suite 2 from the river?
A short walk to the Lehigh. The door is on the brick face of 814 W Hamilton, Suite 2, not the alley. After 10 a.m. the curb is kinder.
Do you ship clubs?
We are a mill floor, not a parcel counter. If you cannot stay for the launch confirm, say so in the note. We would rather reschedule than skip the last line on the ticket.
Gift mill slips — expire?
Twelve months from the day we write them. Named tickets only. See gift visits.
